How do I work collaboratively online?
Most of my work is done virtually, I use Skype, Go To Webinar, Email, Google Docs, Basecamp or the free version is Freedcamp.
Was your experience positive, negative or neutral?
I have had a very positive experience with all these tools, it also depends on the team you are working with. Communication is of high importance when using these tools, response times especially. You fall into a trap if there is a lack of response. People get lazy, things get forgotten about.
Did you use any of the tools outlined above?
A few, there are some I have not used and would love an opportunity in the future to experiment, I did try Slack one time and it did not work.
Have you used any other collaborative tools that you have found useful?
Not really I find Google Docs is a simple easy way to work together on a document.
If its email, Basecamp or Freedcamp has been effective, it keeps all the correspondence in one area, rather than you searching your email for a specific thread.
I recently found Google Keep, how long has this been around?
If you had to do that project again what tools outlined above do you think would have been the most useful?
