So we all know by now I do love Networking, over the years I have done more networking online and this has built my confidence for when I do step into the real world and have to actually talk to people face to face.
Face to Face interactions can be nerve-racking especially as a new info pro.
Also if you are interested in an international perspective, social media allows you to become involved in many events, like Twitter chats and subscribe to groups and pages on Facebook.
So to encourage you to build a social media profile and become an online networker, go ahead! Have fun, it really does change your perspective and give you a lot of confidence.
In addition, it is a good exercise to begin to see your social media profiles as professional, getting rid of all those silly posts that make you scroll endlessly with no informative outcome and leave you brain dead. (Ok I know a bit over the top)
