Thing 7! I really really struggled with this.
I did understand the reason behind an online exhibition, as we had done a project in college for our module digital libraries. I remember then struggling with finding an idea.
The idea back then was my Birthday Cards, Christmas Cards, I had collected these for a number of years and thought it would be a lovely idea to have them in a digital collection.
The work that went into it was second to none we used Omeka and we had to enter in all the metadata using Dublin Core. I had over 25 cards and decided once I had started to only document 3 years of cards giving me a total of 12!
This time around I really struggled as I could not seem to access Omeka as easily as I did back in 2012. So I thought Blogger was my best option.
Again I struggled with an idea, I don't work in a library and the only experience I had of ever setting up an online exhibition was with the Heritage Council which had over 10,000 photographs in their database, not to mention what collections individual staff members had.
So this exercise left me bewildered as to what I could come up with. Eventually I thought of my bookmarks, which I don't have a collection of, and that made me think "Why don't you?" So I created another Blog using Blogger and I uploaded 2 pictures and was done.
I did not have the interest nor the time to add any information to the pictures, but if it was something for work or a project then, by all means, I would put in the added effort, for me this is the thing I have least interest in right now.
